In 1989, Tomas graduated from Hotel School in Bratislava, Slovakia (former Czechoslovakia) where that same year he placed first in a nationwide contest for excellence in service.

Upon completing his mandatory tour in the Slovakian army, he contracted first with Norwegian Cruise Lines and then with Renaissance Cruise Lines. He came to America in 1994 with the dream of opening his own restaurant. Tomas has worked at some of the areas top establishments, where he has learned the art of fine cuisine. He combines good home cooking with a touch of gourmet!

In working towards this goal, Tomas has opened his unique Private Chef Catering business. He specializes in "your unique tastes". To that end, not only has Tomas created an extensive list of menu items, including special drop-off selections, but he spends time with each client to determine what type of party is desired and, subsequently, what foods will make the event an even bigger success. Tomas insists not only on using fresh and unique products, but remains committed to offering an imaginative variety of ideas to spice up any celebration. Clients can simply choose from the items he has listed or ask Tomas to design a special menu for their party. He encourages his clients to offer their own suggestions as well.
